Auto-Pilot To SUCCESS (Post 2)

Why is it that we are afraid of big success?

It might appear counter-intuitive to many; but the truth is that we are afraid.

On a conscious level, success is deeply enticing. Quite often, we want it more than anything else in the world. However, on an unconscious level, success is scary. It is the last thing that we are ready for.

We are afraid that the quest for success will put crazy demands on our time which can be deeply discomforting.

We are afraid that these time demands will come in the way of our cherished relationships, screw up our supremely important health and eat into the sweet nothings of daily life.

We are afraid that if we shine our brightest light, we might in the process outshine (and perhaps even antagonize) others, the very people whom we seek love from.

We are afraid that with the quest for success we would cease to qualify as ‘simple and contented’ in our own eyes.

These are just a few of the many possible unproductive thought splits that we come from. How on Earth can we make it big if the conscious and unconscious are at logger-heads with each other in so many ways?

What other unconscious thought-processes (that we might have around success) that you can think of, which are not in sync with our conscious desire for success?
