Guruji often says that a problem lies in identifying a life situation as a problem. Once you have identified it as a problem, there is nothing you can do about it. On the contrary, if you do anything about it, you will only mess it up further. Let us draw a parallel of this with one another Eastern mystic culture – Zen Buddhism.

In the Zen culture, when a new seeker comes in and asks the master – ‘Oh master, I seek to be enlightened, please guide me’, the master takes a baton and gives the fellow a hard knock on the head. The seeker more often than not gets the point and walks away. By itself, the master’s action defies our understanding. But hidden beneath is a very sound logic.

China’s story

China opened its economy to the outside world in 1978. This led to a five-fold increase in average incomes.

China has had a sickening history during the times of Mao-Tse- Tung before its rise in the world . In pursuing his vision of egalitarianism (which is the basis of communism), he collectivized all land and paid peasants based on collective revenue. This only entrenched famine. Deng Xiopang, the architect of Modern China, who came in Mao’s wake decollectivized land, re-allowed trade of produce from privately owned land and China’s harvests grew back to decent shape. RSVK as an organization is based upon three tenets as framed by Pujya Guruji Rishi Prabhakar. Amongst them, the first one is : ‘There is nothing that needs to be accomplished over here.’ However, I wonder how many of us have reflected upon the essence of this statement and made it the very way of operating in our lives.

We define SSY as the science of non-doing.. Non-doing essentially, is nothing but ‘Living in No-Goal’.
